Project story · Multi-department workplace

When South Florida Donor Network moved into their new office, the goal was to create a workplace that could support the unique demands of every department while fostering collaboration, focus, and employee well-being. From the beginning, the vision centered on designing a modern, functional environment that balanced openness with privacy and reflected the organization’s mission-driven culture.

Discovery

Designed around every department.

From the start, South Florida Donor Network had a strong vision for how the new office should function. We worked closely with their team to understand the needs of each department and translate those requirements into a thoughtful workplace strategy.

We focused on:

  • Creating collaborative areas that encourage teamwork and communication
  • Designing private offices, shared offices, and pods for focused work and confidential conversations
  • Incorporating ergonomic solutions, including height-adjustable desks, for employees working extended hours
  • Planning training spaces with powered tables to support technology integration and flexible learning
  • Using furniture finishes and brand colors to create a cohesive, professional environment

This discovery phase helped shape a workplace tailored to the real day-to-day needs of the organization.

Design & layout planning

One structured, connected layout.

With the strategy in place, we developed a detailed furniture and layout plan that organized the office into distinct yet connected zones. The goal was to create a clean, efficient flow throughout the workplace while giving each department the environment it needed to perform at its best.

Glass walls and partitions played a major role in the design, helping define spaces without sacrificing openness or natural light. Collaborative zones were positioned to encourage interaction, while executive offices, private offices, and pods provided quieter areas for focused work.

Training rooms were designed with functionality in mind, featuring powered tables that support presentations, meetings, and hybrid collaboration. Lounge areas and the break room added comfortable spaces for employees to recharge and connect throughout the day.

The final layout creates a workplace that feels structured, modern, and adaptable for future growth.

  • Cubicle Areas – Organized workstation layouts designed to support efficient collaboration and workflow.
  • Executive Offices – Premium furnishings with ergonomic desking, storage, and a professional executive feel.
  • Private & Shared Offices – Functional, comfortable workspaces tailored to different departmental needs.
  • Conference Rooms – Collaborative meeting spaces designed for productivity and seamless communication.
  • Training Rooms – Flexible training rooms featuring tables with integrated power solutions for technology use.
  • Lounge Area– Comfortable soft seating and gathering spaces that promote collaboration and connection.
  • Breakroom – Functional dining and refreshment spaces designed to support employees throughout the workday.
  • Reception Area – A welcoming first impression that reflects the organization’s professionalism and mission.

The installation

Installed around a working office.

With multiple departments and active workspaces, careful coordination was key throughout the installation process. Our team worked closely with South Florida Donor Network to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to daily operations.

All deliveries were completed on weekends, while installation work was carried out after hours in key areas. Some departments remained fully operational during the process, requiring careful planning to work around active teams.

We managed the installation through a phased approach, including:

  • Coordinating weekend deliveries to avoid disruptions during business hours
  • Scheduling after-hours installation in active office areas
  • Staging furniture and materials for an organized rollout
  • Installing glass walls, workstations, offices, and collaborative spaces
  • Making on-site adjustments to accommodate department-specific requirements
  • Conducting final walkthroughs and quality checks before turnover

The final results

A workplace built to last.

The completed South Florida Donor Network office reflects a thoughtful balance of collaboration, privacy, ergonomics, and modern design. Each space was created with purpose, supporting the organization’s mission while providing employees with an environment that is comfortable, efficient, and built for the way they work every day.

From executive offices and collaborative zones to training rooms and workplace pods, the new office delivers a polished, functional workplace designed to support both people and purpose for years to come.
