When Miami Country Day School set out to remodel key areas across campus, the vision was to create environments that elevate the daily experience for both students and staff. Discovery & strategy

Built around how the campus works.

Our process began with understanding how each space was being used and how the remodel could enhance the overall experience across campus. Because the project included a mix of academic, administrative, and shared environments, it was important to create a consistent design while addressing the specific needs of each area.

We focused on:

  • Supporting a variety of daily activities across different spaces
  • Creating a cohesive design language throughout the campus
  • Improving comfort and usability in high-traffic environments

This approach ensured each space felt connected while still serving its intended purpose.

Design & layout planning

Flexible spaces, a natural flow.

The layout planning was centered around flexibility and ease of use, allowing each space to function efficiently while maintaining a natural flow throughout the campus.

Private offices were arranged to support focused work, while shared areas such as lounges and student activity spaces were designed to encourage interaction and collaboration. The overall layout balances quiet, individual work with more dynamic group engagement.

What we helped design & furnish

Every area, one campus.

We provided furniture solutions across several key campus spaces used by both students and staff:

  • Faculty Lounge – Comfortable seating designed to give staff a place to relax, recharge, and connect throughout the day.
  • Student Office Lobby – A clean and organized entry area that supports daily traffic while creating a welcoming first impression for students and visitors.
  • Private Offices – Functional workspaces designed to support focus, organization, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Student Activity Center – Flexible furniture solutions that accommodate group interaction, collaboration, and student engagement.

Each area was furnished with durability and long-term use in mind, ensuring the spaces can support the demands of a busy school environment for both students and staff.

The installation

Staged, leveled, and set.

Like most remodeling projects, there were multiple areas to coordinate to ensure a smooth installation process at Miami Country Day School.

Our team handled every part of the project, including:

  • Preparing and staging furniture for each designated space
  • Installing across multiple areas while maintaining consistency
  • Coordinating placement throughout the campus environment
  • Making on-site adjustments to ensure proper fit and alignment
